Glasswerk presents: The Broadcast Episode 2

INCOMING TRANSMISSION

This month’s episode of the Broadcast hosts another array of excellent sounds from the Top Deck at The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool. Along with the usual plethora of new music from Merseyside and beyond, including songs from Jethro Fox, Stealing Sheep and Bird, we also have the sun-drenched hazy sounds of Beach Skulls live in session. Check out the live session videos on the Vimeo channel above and listeners to the podcast get an extra special treat in the form of Beach Skulls covering “Merry Christmas Baby” by Elvis.

As well as all that we are introducing two new features to the show: a daily dose of Bob (Christmas themed this episode!) and also Sounds From A Decade Ago, where we look at albums released when I was 13, starting my independent musical journey. As this was the end of the year episode and the first outing of the feature, we decided to bring you songs from two albums from 2002 that I still hold dear today.

Listen to the music, follow up the songs you like, and support the bands and artists!”

OUT.

The Broadcast is brought to you from the Top Deck of The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool by Xander Berkeley, Mick Johnson, Wes Dunn and Dan Wishman.
