Pennsylvania pop-rock band AUTOMATIC HABIT released a holiday song titled “Merry Christmas, Don’t Go Home” today. The five-piece act will soon be announcing recording plans for the group’s debut EP.
“We just got tired of hearing the same overjoyed Christmas song every year and figured we’d lend a dose of reality. The world needs more bitter Christmas songs. Christmas is bitter,” says singer Johnny Costa.
Formed in July 2012, AUTOMATIC HABIT has been rapidly gaining fans, blending huge pop-laden hooks with an upbeat pop-punk sound, calling to mind bands such as Hit The Lights and All Time Low.
You can download the single along side the band’s previously released digital singles, “Play It Again” and “This Is Misery,” for free on Bandcamp here: link
