Ones To Watch 2013 – SOS

Next up are Glasgow rockers SOS, previously known as Strawberry Ocean Sea. With a massive sound and some great atmospheric rock songs to play, SOS are a captivating live act. 2013 will be a big year for them.

Just in case anyone doesn’t know you, how would you describe yourselves and your music?

We’re five working class guys that make Rock’n’roll that’ll melt your face off.

Have you released any albums or singles so far?

We just released our debut EP ‘A Challenge to the Dark’ on iTunes and limited edition CD. Before that we also released a split double A side single ‘To Live/ Down by the River’ and we gave away some free downloads and limited edition CDs of early recordings not long after we first got going.

What’s been the highlight of your career to date?

Still being alive

Who are your main musical influences?

Lennon, The Clash, Oasis, Dolly Parton.

What lessons about the music business have you had to learn so far?

That the majority of people involved in it are a bunch of phoneys.
