Crowns: Big Issue Tour To Raise Awareness of Homelessness

‘Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la la la la la’ – and with this in mind, Cornish 4- piece Crowns are taking to the roads of Britain with the aim to spread a little joy and hopefully highlight the plight of a vulnerable section of society, whose Christmas will be a little less joyful.

“We respect the Big Issue’s motto of ‘a hand up, not a hand out’ – so we’ll do all we can on this trip to boost the vendors’ sales and raise awareness of the charity’s fine work,” say the band.

The band will be performing at the Big Issue distribution centre in Glasgow on 13th December, before driving south & finishing in London on Tues 18th December. And you can get involved too! If you want the band to come & play at your school, youth club, record shop, home, corner shop, then contact the band. If you can provide accommodation for the band, then get in touch, email mail.

The route is:

Glasgow – Thursday 13th December
Liverpool / Manchester- Friday 14th December
Sheffield / Leeds – Saturday 15th December / Sunday 16th December
Nottingham / Birmingham – Monday 17th December
London – Tuesday 18th December

Good luck to the boys. It’s great to see homelessness highlighted at any time, but especially as the temperatures fall in winter.
