Here at Glasswerk we don’t do things by halves. In fact, we do things by doubles – so we’re saying “bah humbug” to the 12 Days Of Christmas and a bloody massive “yo ho ho” to the 24 Days Of Glasswerk, where we’ll be bringing you a festive insight into some of your favourite bands, one a day until Christmas, in a horrendous advent calendar feature full to the brim with musical misfits.

If you could spend Christmas anywhere in the world, where would it be?
In good old rainy, cold England. Embrace the crappy weather and get cosy with your family.

What’s your favourite Christmas song?
There are loads of great Xmas songs, it’s hard to choose the best. Probably ‘I wish it could be Christmas everyday’ by Wizzard.

Give us three things on your list this year.
I’m not really bothered about presents, I’ll just go with the usual underwear, aftershave and booze!

Have you been naughty or nice, and what did you do to deserve the title?
I am nothing but nice these days, my naughty years are well behind me haha.

Any favourite Christmas movies?
Die Hard. Definitely Die Hard.

What’s the worst Christmas you’ve ever had?
Me and my brother got too drunk and nearly had a fist fight one year, that wasn’t too great.

And the best?
Every one I spend with my daughter, I can now enjoy it vicariously through her.

Have you got anything out that people should put on their lists this year? You should most probably, definitely buy the deluxe edition of Tough Love. Loads of b-sides, demos n’ that from Tough Love. You can even just by the extra tracks if you already have Tough Love. Nothing worse than buying an album again for bonus tracks when you already have it.

Who are you backing for Christmas Number 1?
Dunno, pop music is in a fucking dire state right now so erm, Rage against the machine?

Which day is better and why: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day
They’re all good. Boxing day is a bit of a come down though. I’ll go with christmas day, that’s the main event isn’t it.

The Queens Speech – yay or nay?
Keep it for the old folk I say, the queen is just a relic to me.

If you could stock some awesome Christmas related merch, what would it be?
I’d love to do full on garish PABH knitted woollen jumpers.
