All-star Colombian Group Ondatrópica Release Album Trailer

All-star Colombian group Ondatrópica have released a new video shot during a three week recording process in the legendary Discos Fuentes studio in Colombia earlier this year. The debut album is released on CD, LP and download on 16th July through Soundway Records.

A mixture of well known and classic Colombian styles such as cumbia, porro, gaita and champeta clash head-on with boogaloo, ska, beat-box, hip hop, dub and funk. The tracks range from straight-up timeless pieces with one foot in the 1960s and 70s to progressive and forward-looking recordings firmly rooted in the 21st century.

Ondatrópica will perform headline shows at The Hackney Empire and Concorde 2 in Brighton as well as appearing on the Americas Stage at the Tower of London as part of the BT River of Music on the 22 July 2012.
