BT London Live is proud to announce McFly, presented by Magic 105.4 (Official London Radio Station). The British pop stars McFly will perform a special FREE set, during a day that will be one of the highlights of London 2012 at Hyde Park on Saturday 4 August 2012. Already being dubbed ‘Super Saturday’, visitors will get to see ALL of the Olympic Sports and Medal Ceremonies of the day LIVE, in addition to a spectacular array of have-a-go activities. Absolute Radio (Official National Radio Station) will also broadcast highlights from the day.
Since forming in 2004 McFly soon skyrocketed to become one of the biggest bands in the UK. The Brit Award winning four piece, Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and HarryJudd, have had eighteen consecutive Top 20 singles, seven of which reached No.1, including “Five Colours in Her Hair”, “Obviously”, “Star Girl” and “All About You”. McFly pack out arenas across Europe and will no doubt attract a legion of fans to this superb free day in Hyde Park.
BT London Live visitors will get to see every single sporting activity live on giant screens, including theWomen’s Athletics 100m Final, Women’s Heptathlon 800m and Medal Ceremony, Men’s Athletics 10,000m Final, Women’s Triathlon Final and Medal Ceremony, Men’s Rowing Four Final, Lightweight Men’s Sculls Final and Medal Ceremony.
BT London Live Hyde Park and Victoria Park has something for everyone, from live music to watching the 100 metres final on a 160m2 screen, the 55m high BTObservation Wheel giving views of the Olympic Park, have-a-go sports, plus al-fresco Sports Bars and much more. BT London Live is alsohosting two Celebration Concerts in Hyde Park to coincide with the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Snow Patrol,Stereophonics, Duran Duran and Paolo Nutini will perform at the Opening Ceremony Celebration Concert on Friday 27 July, whilst Blur headline the Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert on Sunday 12 August, with special guests New Order and The Specials. Access to BT London Live Hyde Park and Victoria Park is FREE, just walk up and join the fun. There are a limited number of Guaranteed Entry Tickets available for those who want to ensure they don’t miss out on a particular day or their favourite sport. These tickets allow guaranteed entry before 2pm. After 2pm, entry is on a first-come, first-served basis, but due to likely demand, may be subject to queues. An order processing fee of £3.50 will be applied to each transaction of up to four Guaranteed Entry Tickets*.
