So why watched Britain’s Got Talent? I hear a dog won? Seriously? Still, I guess Simon will still try to get it to number one. But this can’t be a good thing for music surely? I didn’t watch the competition but I hear there were a few good singers. Must sting a bit to lose out on half a million quid to a dog …

We have a fair few reviews of new material coming out this week already up on the site. New albums from Summerlin and Off! are covered along with the latest single from Blood Red Shoes and an EP from new rock band Night Moves.

Also out this week are the comeback album from Shirley Manson and Garbage and new ones from Best Coast and Simain Mobile Disco. But will any of them knock Keane from the top of the album charts?

I caught up with two American bands for interviews last week. Both are now on the site: have a look and see what new Seattle duo My Goodness and Brooklyn rockers We Are Augustines had to say.
