GOLDIE LOOKIN LINEUP – THE TWANG AND REVEREND GET THEIR KIT ON!

The line up for the Soccer Six Indie football tournament has been announced. The inaugural competition takes place at Leyton Orient FC on Sunday May 13th and will feature a host of indie music royalty.

Confirmed to lace up their boots in the ultimate battle of the bands competition are; Reverend and the Makers, Two Door Cinema Club, The Twang, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Life In Film, The Milk, Dexters, Masters In France, Little Comets, The Tricks, Sound of Guns, KAV, Eugene McGuiness and iconic indie club night This Feeling.

The event is in aid of the charity Lovesport Group. All guest are asked to make a donation of £10.

The Lovefootball Family is a new fund raising arm of the Lovesport Group. It will raise money and awareness for cardiac issues and charities, specifically those suffered in football. This series of events will raise money to purchase a defibrillator for Bromley By Bow FC, whose player Kelvin Brown sadly passed away during a match in February this year.

With the Playhard VIP area featuring exciting established and up and coming DJ's and bands the event is set to become a re-established fixture in the indie music calendar.

Mark Abery, founder of the Soccer Six events says, “we've staged the Celebrity Soccer Six tournaments since 1995 and back then we had Oasis, Blur and Pulp at the very height of Britpop. The Soccer Six Indie is about taking the event back to its roots, creating a real indie get together a couple of times a year”

The tournament kicks off at 12.30pm and gates are open to the public from 11.30am. Tickets cost £8 and are available from link
