Glasvegas and Ocean Colour Scene Members Added To The Big Stooshie Line Up

Fife Charity Music Festival “The Big Stooshie” has announced two major acts to their already impressive line-up. The event is taking place from 4th-6th May at The Howe Country Centre in Giffordtown, Fife and Scotlad's charity festival hopes to raise over £100,000 for Help for Heroes and SSAFA Forces Help.

Saturday night headliners Glasvegas have seen things many wouldn't believe: relentless global touring throughout the UK, Europe, Japan and America as well as support tours with Oasis, Kings of Leon and U2. They have played a myriad of global festivals from Roskilde to Glastonbury, Benicassim to T in the Park and received nominations for awards throughout the musical spectrum: NME, Q, Mojo, UK Music Video, Mercury Prize, XFM, Vodofone, UK Festival, Tartan Clef and the Rockbjornen Awards in Sweden, where Glasvegas are particularly loved.

Their self titled debut album went platinum, and introduced fans favourites “Daddy’s Gone” and “Go Square Go”. The 4-piece headlined the NME Awards Tour 2009, kicking off with two sell out shows at Glasgow’s O2 Academy. That summer they headlined a packed 12,000 capacity tent at a major Scottish Festival, with many critics labelling Glasvegas as one of the best festival performances of the year. The band’s current album “Euphoric//Heartbreak” was released to much critical acclaim with Daily Record declaring it their album of the year and NME awarding it 9/10.

Ocean Colour Scene’s Simon Fowler + Oscar Harrison have also been confirmed to play a special acoustic performance at the festival. With a stripped back set from one of Britpop’s most iconic bands
