Coca-Cola, Presenting Partner of the Olympic Torch Relay, has today revealed that performances from Cardiff-born Kids In Glass Houses, British rock band You Me At Six, and Brit Award winning Emeli Sandé will lead the celebrations at the live, free-ticketed event in Cooper’s Field on 25th May as Cardiff plays host to a Special City Celebration along the route of this summer’s London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay.
Coca-Cola is helping the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and host Local Authorities to bring music and celebration to every corner of the UK with 66 nights of celebrations during the Olympic Torch Relay.
The live event in Cardiff is one of four Special City Celebrations to feature leading musicians, with further large-scale, free-ticketed concerts confirmed in Glasgow on 8th June, Leeds on 24th June and Birmingham on 30th June. A finale concert will be held in London’s Hyde Park on 26th July – the day before the Opening Ceremony.
The events are all part of 66 nights of celebrations taking place along the Olympic Torch Relay route – 61 Evening celebrations plus five Special City Celebrations presented by Coca-Cola. Each night will feature incredible performances from some of the nation’s best loved stars, including Emeli Sandé, General Fiasco, Katy B, Kids In Glass Houses, Labrinth, Little Comets, Loick Essien, Morning Parade, Rizzle Kicks, Tribes, Wombats, Wretch 32 and Young Guns.
As the longest continuous sponsor of the Olympic Movement, Coca-Cola is encouraging everyone in Wales to register for free tickets to the event at Cooper’s Field and bring friends and family along to celebrate their local Future Flames and to participate in the magic of the Olympic Games. All tickets are available via registration at link.

These exciting events mark the next step in Coca-Cola’s sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Olympic Torch Relay, uniting its two campaigns, Move To The Beat, which fuses music and sport to bring teens closer to the Olympic Games through a unique collaboration with GRAMMY award-winning producer Mark Ronson and chart topping dub-step vocalist Katy B, and Future Flames, Coca-Cola’s Olympic Torch Relay campaign which celebrates the best of British youth by giving them the once in a lifetime chance to carry the Olympic Flame.
Anywhere In the World – the song created by Mark Ronson and Katy B – will be released for sale on May 13th 2012, and fuses the actual sounds of Olympic sports with music in Mark’s unique and innovative style. To produce the track, Mark travelled the globe, meeting five young athletes and recording their individual sounds of sport to provide the beats of the song. They will perform the song live at the Hyde Park event on 26th July.
Tickets to Glasgow, Cardiff, Leeds and Birmingham events are free. Tickets for the event in London’s Hyde Park will cost £15 (plus order processing fee). All are available via registration at link until 10pm on Wednesday 11 April 2012.
