New Video From Amadou & Mariam

Amadou & Mariam release their latest video, ‘Wily Kataso’, from their new album, ‘Folila’, (Because) out 2nd April. The video was directed by Jennifer Delia at two different New York night clubs, The Shrine and The Box.

It is a modern-day, cinematic rendition of Stanley Kubrick’s party in Midnight Cowboy, featuring typical New York characters of today. Amadou and Mariam are joined on-stage by Tunde and Kyp of TV On The Radio, who are featured on the track.Wily Kataso is about guests who have overstayed their welcome.

Amadou & Mariam's new album ‘Folila’ also features appearances by Santigold, Theophilus London,Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Bassekou Kouyaté, and it is the follow-up to 2009’s acclaimed ‘Welcome To Mali’.

Amadou & Mariam have confirmed a Shepherd’s Bush Empire show on 13th April. The duo will also take part in the Artangel ‘A Room For London’ programme at Queen Elizabeth Hall in May and have confirmed playing Latitude Festival in July.
