Wallis Bird – Encore: The Movie

Wallis Bird has released a ‘Songumentary’ which is available online from a LIMITED period this week. Encore: The Movie will be online from 2nd March – 7th March. Check it out on this link: link

Berlin in late summer 2011. Philipp Kaessbohrer and his team used the last sunbeams of summertime to film Wallis Bird and her band in Berlin 's old broadcasting studio. Five songs were shot across three days inside what remains of the former GDR radio station, an impressive architectural construction whose former glory has, over the years, become gradually run-down and dilapidated.

Wallis and her band – German brothers Christian and Michael, and Aoife and Aidan from Ireland – were filmed over three long days as they interacted, played and recorded together. The outcome is a 25 minute 'Songumentary', connected through the songs 'Encore', 'I Am So Tired of that Line', 'Heartbeating City', 'In Dictum' and 'Ghosts of Memories', all of which originate on the upcoming third record “Wallis Bird”.
