Dad Rocks! – the solo project of Icelandic musician Snævar Njáll Albertsson of Danish post-rock band Mimas – is to release his debut album Mount Modern in the UK on November 7th via Big Scary Monsters.
Check out the video teaser above for the album, which follows his debut solo EP Digital Age that was recorded on analogue tape and released in all its lo-fi glory last year.
Mount Modern was recorded with Icelandic super-producer Addi 800 (Blur, Bjork) and Tom McFall (REM, Stars, Regina Spektor, Bloc Party). The first single to be taken from Mount Modern – “Weapons” – features Charles Spearin of Borken Social Scene on cornet duty.
