Former X Factor finalist Jamie 'Afro' Archer is set to embark on a new chapter with the arrival of new band Archer.
Featuring Jamie on lead vocals and guitars, the band also includes Anthony Reed on lead guitar and brother Stephen Archer on drums, percussion and backing vocals.
The band release their debut single “Insanity” on October 3rd, with a full UK/Ireland tour preceding its release that kicks off on September 8th at The Borderline in London.
Dates in Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Bristol, Dublin, Glasgow and Oxford follow for the band.
Commenting on the forthcoming single release and UK dates, Jamie commented: “I am really excited about getting the band together and finally being out there on the road performing our new material. We have spent the last six months writing and recording which has been an incredible experience. Appearing on X Factor was an amazing experience for me and was always part of the bigger plan for forming my own band by gaining that invaluable TV exposure. The British public following the X Factor were a phenomenal support throughout my time on the show. However there were times on the X Factor where I felt restricted in the songs I could perform and which suited my vocal range and style. With my new band ARCHER, I am really excited to be getting out there and finally performing in the style of music that I feel best suits my character and personality.”
