Frank Turner has announced that he is to release his rabble-rousing anthem “If I Ever Stray” on August 29th through Xtra Mile Recordings.
As his career continues to rise, the song is an ode to his friends and family for the support they've provided. In his own words: “If Ever I Stray was one of the last songs written for the album and it came together really fast, as the best songs do; it's a song about realising that you're not an island, and that you should be grateful for the help you get in life.”
Backed by new song “Sailor's Boots”, “If I Ever Stray” is the second single to be taken from Frank's current album England Keep My Bones, that was released back in June. Rave reviews across the board – Q, Kerrang!, NME and Rocksound are all waxing lyrical about Turner's new release.
You can catch Frank Turner live in November, kicking off on the 22nd in Bournemouth and calling in on Newport, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester before rounding things off nicely with a show at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo on November 27th.
