Thirty Seconds To Mars have announced details of a four-track, MTV Unplugged digital EP to be released August 22nd.
The most nominated rock band for the upcoming 2011 MTV VMA Awards with three nominations, frontman Jared Leto commented: “It’s incredibly humbling and exciting to be acknowledged, especially for a very controversial clip like ‘Hurricane,’ that was banned from a lot of networks to start with. It’s great to have it come full-circle and be recognised in this way.”
The four-track EP contains tracks “Hurricane”, “Kings & Queens”, “Night Of The Hunter” and a special rendition of the U2 track “Where The Streets Have No Name”. Unplugged: Thirty Seconds To Mars was premiered on July 20th across MTV Music Group's multiple platforms, with a 30-minute special airing this Friday (July 29th).
Thirty Seconds To Mars are to play Reading & Leeds Festivals this year on the main stage, just before My Chemical Romance's headline sets.
