Glastonbury Hangovers, Morrissey Being Morrissey & The UK Preps For Death Cab

So, who was at Glastonbury? Is your body home, but your head still there?

It was hailed as the best ever; a dizzying array of genres, acts and talent to feast your eyes on – along with pretty much every different type of weather you could imagine. Calves of the UK must be heaving with gristle as I type, after gallantly battling against the mud.

Highlights differ depending on whom you talk to, but I'm interested in hearing your opinions; who was your artist of the weekend?

Back to real life – you know it's real life when Morrissey is in the news. After waging war on meat, he's kicking off again – this time on a Morrissey fansite.

Fansite Morrissey-solo.com – who has long held a reputation for being rather negative about Mozzer's more recent work – has earned the wrath of the man himself to the point that he graced the stage at St George's Hall in Bradford this week wearing a 'FUCK MORRISSEY-SOLO.COM' shirt – with versions also being worn by his backing band.

Morrissey has never had a squeaky clean connection with his 'fanbase' – but this just might take the biscuit. Are you a Morrissey fan? Has he gone too far?

Death Cab For Cutie are in the UK – playing shows in support of their most recent album Codes and Keys – an album that, in my humble opinion, is the tipping point from medium-sized respect to supergroup status. They're playing headline shows as well as a performance at Hop Farm Festival – and if the shows do finally propel them into the stratosphere, then it's about time. Tickets for Nottingham on the 5th July are crazily still available; get down while you can.

Glasswerk this week is – as always – your home of music news, videos and reviews.
