John Butler Trio To Release Live CD/DVD, Live UK July Shows

John Butler Trio have announced that they are to release their first live DVD/CD since 2005's Live at St. Gallen.

Filmed at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado to an 8,000 strong crowd, one of Australia's most successful exports jumped at the chance to play such a prestigious venues.

John Butler himself commented: “We’ve opened up for so many artists at Red Rocks over the years and to headline this sublimely majestic and sacred venue was a massive milestone for us. As an Australian band, it’s hard to explain what it feels like to pull off a gig like this, we played hard and fast like our lives depended on it. We gave it everything we had and everything this special place and it’s people deserved.”

To date, the trio have sold 1.6 million records worldwide – and their latest release showcases a two and a half hour performance, including footage that features behind the scenes interviews as well as the official music video for “Revolution”.
