American rockers Madina Lake have signed to Razor & Tie, it has been announced.
The band has now completed work on its new studio album World War III – set for a release date this autumn – and are embarking on this summer's Vans Warped Tour in the 'States, with a UK tour coming this November.
It's been a year of ups and downs for Madina Lake. Last june, bassist Matthew Leone was hospitalised after intervening in a domestic violence incident in Chicago involving a man beating his wife. In critical condition, Leone was left with a fractured skull, broken jaw and a swollen brain as doctors were forced to remove a third of his skull.
Local musicians and supports pulled together to raise money for hospital bills – The Smashing Pumpkins played a benefit show in Chicago and raised $80,000 alone.
Matthew's recovery has thankfully meant that the band can get back to concentrating on music, with the group playing a sold-out return show in their hometown of Chicago in April.
Madina Lake are to kick off their UK tour on November 8th in Portsmouth, before finishing on November 18th in Exeter. More information about the tour can be found by following this link.
