Jai McDowell did! The Scot has been insisting already that he won off his own bat, saying: “These things don't bother or upset me. I just focus on myself.
People will say if it wasn't for the smear I wouldn't have won, but I did my best and the public voted for me.”
And vote for him they did; just. Jai got just 2.5% more of the vote than Ronan, who was the centre of controversy last week after an anonymous open letter appeared on the internet claiming to be written by a Sony UK executive.

In other news – Lady Gaga's album Born This Way kept Adele off top spot for the second week in a row in a week that revealed that year-to-date US album sales moved into the black for the first time in more than five years, musicweek.com revealed.
They talk of how Nielsen SoundScan reveals 125.86m albums have been sold in the States so far this year, compared with 125.42m at the same point in 2010. Album sales have not been up on a year-to-date basis since January 2006. Good news, no?
Stay tuned to glasswerk.co.uk this week for all the music news, reviews, videos and interviews you could shake a stick at. Where the hell did that phrase come from, anyway?
