Sonisphere's organisers have released the following statement regarding ticketing for this year's event, which takes place 8th-10th July in Knebworth.
“In response to an overwhelming number of requests, we have been able to secure permission to put a strictly limited number of day tickets on sale via THE POWER BALLOT scheme. Due to the huge demand for day tickets anticipated, and the limited number that can be made available, we have decided to use a ballot system as we believe it is the fairest way to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to obtain tickets.
Fans should sign up at link before 23rd May, when the ballot closes. You may apply for as many days as you like in order to increase your chances, although full weekend tickets work out much cheaper than three separate day tickets, and is the best way to enjoy all that SONISPHERE has to offer and get the full festival experience.
Successful applicants will be informed which day(s) they can purchase tickets for via email on May 25th. Each customer may purchase up to four tickets for their allocated day. Tickets will be £80/day plus booking fee.
The day splits are listed below, broken down by stage, from the APOLLO and SATURN ARENA stages – timed to ensure no clashes so people can watch every main stage performance – to the BOHEMIA, JAGERMEISTER and RED BULL BEDROOM JAM stages, considerately timed to avoid any painful choices over the course of the weekend.
Sonisphere, established in 2009, is already one of Europe's top festivals, taking place in twelve countries this year. Its rise to prominence is great news for festival goers, meaning it can attract top, top acts such as The Big 4, Biffy Clyro and Slipknot – who headline this year's event.
