Adele's album 21 maintained the number one slot for the 14th week yesterday (May 8th), beating off Fleet Foxes' new album Helplessness Blues.
Adele's album sold a whopping 70% more copies than Fleet Foxes' offering, again proving the album's longevity in 2011.
Other interesting chartings to occur were Ellie Goulding's Lights climbing 13 places – no doubt after her Royal Wedding appearance – back into the top ten. A good week for her was rounded off by her album climbing a phenomenal 32 places to number seven in the US iTunes album chart.
