Moby “Baffled” By His Success

Moby, who has released ten albums in the past two decades and gained world-wide acclaim, can't understand why he has been successful, even admitting that he is clueless when it comes to his career.

Talking to the Independent, he said: “I'm perpetually baffled by the whole thing. I've made records everyone has hated and I've loved and made records that everyone has loved and I've deemed, at best, mediocre.

“I don't know how all this happened. I've honestly never had a clue what I'm doing.”

Talking about the criticism labelled at him for letting tracks from his behemoth 1999 album Play be used in several advertising campaigns, he added: “I still don't get what that was about. As far as I'm concerned, the whole point of making music is to get it heard by as many people as possible.” He does have a point.
