Bruno Mars has been talking to Q Magazine about his track “F**k You” – a song in which he collaborated with Cee-Lo Green.
Bruno said: “For years I'd been saying, I wanna work with Cee Lo Green. We came up with the title and sang the chorus for him. We were a little nervous about it because we didn't want it to be like a skit.
“He said, 'That's incredible, let's go!' We wrote it in two hours.”
Bruno said he first turned to writing songs when he was much younger, after he got dropped from the Motown record label aged 18, after recording a number of tracks written by other people which were never released.
He added to Q magazine: “I didn't know what I was doing. I was like 'f**k it, I'm going to start writing this s**t on my own.”
Bruno also talked about the honour he felt after winning Best Male Vocal Performance at this year's Grammy awards, for his track 'Just The Way You Are', saying: “That was amazing. I mean, that was the category with Michael Jackson in it!”
