LMFAO And Foo Fighters Run Wild

By all accounts, it was an extremely successful Record Store Day last Saturday, and thank goodness for that. The queues were around the block, eagerly awaiting the doors to swing open of Liverpool's finest independent record shop, Probe Records, which was established way back in 1971 – and I'm certain that the music-loving hoards of Liverpool were not the only audiophiles hoping to get their mitts on something tasty and oop over the weekend.

Sunday came, and Adele's firm grip on the No.1 album spot was finally relinquished by Grohl & Co. – after a whopping 11 week stay at the top. In what is their third UK No.1 album, Wasting Light faces a battle to stay top for Easter.

LMAFO's single “Party Rock Anthem” pushed J-Lo off the top of the singles chart, with the charts also welcoming Arctic Monkeys & Metronomy this week.

At glasswerk.co.uk this week we've got a lovely Ministry Of Sound competition coming up, a shed-load of CD reviews for you, all the news you can cram into your news-riddled head and new music that's tipped for big things this year. What a ride!
