It has emerged that Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire have settled their war of words that has raged ever since Brown walked out of the band in 1996.
Rumours have been rife over the years of a reunion, however they have traditionally been quashed by Brown and Squire. It is being reported that they are ready to reform the band that has been dogged with controversy, record-label stand-offs and in-group bitching since its first self-titled release in 1989.
Since the break-up, Ian Brown has enjoyed a successful solo career, whilst Squire is now an artist. Bassist Gary Manny “Mani” Mounfield currently plays in Primal Scream. Whether or not the band releases new material and play live together again remains to be seen, but fans of the iconic group could well feel confident that the public bitterness that has overshadowed the band's success has come to an end.
