Ben Drew aka Plan B To Play Role In Feature The Sweeney

Ben Drew, aka Plan B, has been confirmed to play the role of George Carter in the upcoming film The Sweeney alongside Ray Winstone.

An adaptation of the ITV TV show, the film is set in present dat England, and is sure to be packed full of fast cars, action and wise cracks.

Director and co writer Nick Love said: “I'm very excited about Ben playing Carter – he brings an intelligence and sensitivity that is crucial for The Sweeney.  Ben is also one of the most promising and multi-talented young performers around.  For me, Ray (Winstone) and Ben are the ultimate casting for a character driven action thriller set in London today.”

Director Love (The Football Factory, The Firm) has teamed up with co-writer John Hodge (of Trainspotting) fame, in what is sure to be a great grit-Brit thriller.
