King Jacks Video For “I'm Not The One” Gaining Much-Warranted Exposure

You might not have heard of King Jacks, but Steve Lamacq has. And Nihal. The Guardian made them their Band of the Day. King Jacks is a rock'n'roll solo artist that breaks today's mould. His appeal harks back to the 50's – and not just in terms of the styling for his video “I'm Not The One”.

A rock'n'roll solo artist is hardly common nowadays; why? For over half a century, British music has been peppered – rife, with talented rock-infused solo men doing their thing. There is something quintessentially British about King Jacks that smacks you in the teeth – and I'm not just saying that because Danny Dyer appears in his video for “Heroes” (link).

If you weren't aware of him before, I have a feeling that won't be the case for much longer.
