Behind the doors of their studio in the heart of Birmingham, The Twang have been busy. In between fleeting touring schedules, the band have been crafting a collection of songs ready for the first release on their new label, Jump The Cut Records. The first result of that hard work is the Guapa EP. Four new songs that are set to continue the legacy that started with the band’s gold selling debut and continued with their Top 20 follow-up.
Title track Guapa sees bass player Jon Watkin take vocal duties for the first time, telling the story of a rebel soldier falling madly in love with a girl days before he is likely to meet his death in battle. Frontmen Phil Etheridge and Martin Saunders take back the reins for Subscription Woah Man before Jon returns to the mic for February Snow, a soulful tale of escape from a dead-end town.
