Sacramento’s DANCE GAVIN DANCE have announced their long awaited return to the UK for May 2011, when they will bring their original line up to England for the very first time. They will be supported by All Forgotten and Don Broco on 25th May 2011 and Yashin and The James Cleaver Quintet on the 26th May 2011 at the Camden Underworld in London.
The band have reunited in this line-up after five long years to record a new album together with original singer Jonny Craig (Emarosa, Isles & Glaciers, Jonny Craig solo). The highly anticipated new record, entitled Downtown Battle Mountain Pt. II, will be released 28th March 2011 through Rise Records and was produced by Kris Crummet, the man behind the desk of the band’s 2007 breakthrough opus, Downtown Battle Mountain.
The reinvigorated quintet will also be playing two UK shows back to back in May 2011. The first night’s show will feature the Downtown Battle Mountain album played in its entirety, whilst the following night will see the all new tracks from Downtown Battle Mountain II aired for the first time.
Drummer Matt Mingus comments: “We are all really excited to come back to the UK with the original line up! Obviously we never got to go over there with all the original members, so we hope to blow everyone out of the water!”
