Clinic Release Bubblegum

On 31st January 2011 Clinic release ‘Bubblegum’, one of the stand out tracks from their critically acclaimed album of the same name, as their new single on 12” vinyl and digital formats. The short and sweet burst of sugary psych pop is Clinic at their melodic best, instantly catchy and yet strangely woozy and off kilter sounding.

The single is bolstered by some seriously impressive remixes courtesy of Mark E, who transforms the original ditty into a monstrous dancefloor slayer that builds and builds on waves of acid bubbles into something truly epic, whilst Pional reinterprets the song, not once, but twice in the form of two remixes. The first of Pional’s remixes, ‘The Slow Club Version’ is a pounding, euphoric assault on the senses which should have no trouble wreaking havoc in the clubs, whilst his second remix ‘Jump The Gun Bonus’ is an altogether more atmospheric, moodier piece of work which we’re also happening to be giving away as a free download: link.
