Suede, whose sold out performance in December 2010 at London’s 02 Arena garnered an ecstatic response from fans and critics, will release their entire studio catalogue in re-mastered and expanded versions on Demon Records in June 2011.
The group will also play three very special concerts at London’s Brixton Academy in May at which they will play their first three albums and related material over the three successive nights.
The Brixton Academy dates are:
MAY 19 “SUEDE”
MAY 20 “DOG MAN STAR”
MAY 21 “COMING UP”
Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday January 28th at 9am via link and from the 02 Brixton Academy box office on 0844 477 200.
Full details of the bonus audio and visual content of the album/DVD packages will be released shortly. The group – Brett Anderson, Mat Osman, Simon Gilbert, Richard Oakes and Neil Codling – have been working on the album content and re-mastering with founder guitarist Bernard Butler.
Brett Anderson said; “This is the definitive collection of pretty much everything we released in 14 years together – and some stuff which we didn’t. It’s all re-mastered and includes unreleased, never-before-heard oddities and gems which even I’d forgotten about. It’s the complete audio history of a band and, like any band of interest, it’s flawed, strange and sometimes beautiful”.
