The 2 Bears Release Remixes EP

The 2 Bears’ (Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) & Raf Rundell) second EP “Curious Nature” was met with high acclaim at it’s release in mid October of last year. Support came thick and fast with the year ending in a Radio One Maida Vale session, an Annie Mac Mini Mix and playing live at the Gilles Peterson Christmas party.

As the bears are currently locked away in the studio working on their debut long player, we thought we’d satisfy your grizzly needs with this delightful Remix E.P.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED), Midland, DJ Sneak, Gingy and Supabeatz all take a turn in re-working, re-jigging and re-editing the bear necessities.

TEED is on fire at the moment, with the release of two groundbreaking E.P.s on Greco-Roman under his belt and an album in the pipeline, he took the time out to work on his remix of The 2 Bears cover of the satirical and ever chilling “Lunatics” originally by Fun Boy Three. He doesn’t disappoint.
Midland, the man behind the brilliant collab with Ramadanman “Your Words Matter”, (arguably one of the best club tracks of 2010) and Aus and Hessel regular supplies a deep dubby edit of “Church” that’ll blow your socks off. As does Gingy, the Canadian based Techno/House DJ sends a shiver down your spine with his tantalising rework.

The legendary DJ Sneak goes deep with a tough House mix of “Work It Out” and Southern Fried favourite Supabeatz goes all out party, the Italian does what he does best with a fun bass heavy remix.

The Bears – Joe Goddard and Raf Rundell first began crossing paths in DJ booths, and came together through a love and admiration for Detroit Techno, Chicago House, Hip Hop, UK Garage and Bashment. They ended up playing Back2Back sets and eventually writing and producing together. Fried & Tested 3 (Southern Fried label comp) mixed by The 2 Bears is out in March with their debut album due in autumn of this year.
