Feldberg Release New Single

Another mesmerising, offbeat release comes out of the creative melting pot that is the Icelandic music scene this week. No it's not Bjork or Sigur Ros, this time it's something in between.
Meet Reykjavik pop-rock duo Feldberg. The musical Pairing of singer Rósa Birgitta Ísfeld and multi instrumentalist Einar Tönsberg. Their new single 'I'm Not Thinking Of You' is a delicately picked acoustic ballad complete with Sigur Ros inspired atmospheric swirls. The song remains minimal throughout which allows Rosa Birgitta Isfeld's haunting voice to captivate the listener. 'I'm Not Thinking Of You' feels like it should be played over the end credits of some heartbreaking art-house flick, it captures that elusive unquantifiable quality that so much mainstream 'songwriter' stuff lacks. They've got a full LP coming out next year and the rest of it is half as good as this it'll be first on my list. Whatever 'It' is, they have it.
