Best of Myspace Live returns on the 8 December with a Christmas bash for the final show of 2010, with four of the hottest upcoming acts playing at the legendary Bull & Gate in London’s Kentish Town.Presented with Club Fandango, the show is headlined by KURRAN & THE WOLFNOTES, who bring an unmistakable noughties twist to the alt-folk sound, with a playful hint of The Strokes complimenting the otherwise straight up trad-sound.They’ll be joined by MY TIGER MY TIMING, whose catchy but downbeat melodies, hypnotic rhythms and inventive lyrics has drawn comparisons to Talking Heads, Vampire Weekend and Hot Chip, as well as electronic-drenched alt-popsters RUBICKS, who have been described by the NME as possessing a ‘fantastic ability to synthesize the pop pout of Blondie, the chilled machine thrum of Goldfrapp and the rock sensibilities of the Pixies into one late night, last-dance swirl of cheap lipstick and perfume.’ Completing the line-up are THE ROBOT HEART, described as 'Icelandic sounding Beach Boys', who bring together multi-harmony singing, acoustic guitars, piano, clattering drums, electronica and assorted gadgetry.
Tickets are £7 and available in advance from: link
