I know I keep returning to the topic of X Factor but yesterday marked the day when Wagner’s dream came to an end. With a double eviction on the cards it was down to Katie, Mary and Wagner and the act with the lowest votes had to go. Surprisingly, that was Katie. If it had been down to Katie and Wagner in the sing off, rather than Mary, I’m not entirely sure the eviction would have gone in Cheryl’s favour. However, with a unanimous judge’s vote Mary was saved to sing another boring ballad in the semi-finals.
Bizarrely, this week was Wagner’s best performance. The first time Louis hadn’t turned him into a gimmicky, medley-singing, comedy act. Ok, he’s not a great singer but he did better this week than ever before. Although maybe that was the issue; the minute Louis gave him the chance to actually sing and not be the comic relief on the show, off he went.
Next week are the semi finals of the show meaning the week after is its final week and I promise not to write about it again after that for an entire year. I promise! I just can’t believe how much it’s taken over my life this year, especially as I don’t even really like any of the contestants and I can’t stand Cheryl Cole! Maybe I’m just going mad.
In other news, there’s loads of awesome stuff on the site this week. We have interviews with Cerebral Ballzy, Kid Adrift, Flo Rida and Travie McCoy. We have new videos from The Go! Team, IO Echo and the brand new episode of The Producers. As if that wasn’t enough we also have the opportunity to win Jingle Bell Ball tickets, Deadzone tickets and a Kids In Glass Houses comp too! As if that wasn’t enough Amy Can Flyy, To The Bones and Haight-Ashbury are all on tour.
