Primary 1 Go On The Nice To Meet You Tour

With his new single ‘Never Know' (ft Harry Tuttle) and its accompanying video currently receiving glowing praise from influential US music site Pitchfork and more, Primary 1 has today announced the details of his upcoming December club tour. Entitled the ‘Nice to Meet You’ tour Primary 1 will be playing six dates across the UK, which commences on December 2nd in Manchester and finishes on December 15th at new London hotspot, The Nest.

Primary 1 (AKA British musician/DJ/producer Joe Flory) will be promoting his new single ‘Never Know’, which will be released on December 6th (please note new release date) through Atlantic Records. The track features a mysterious vocalist called ‘Harry Tuttle’, which may or may not be a pseudonym for one of Joe’s favourite artists, and is yet another delicious taster from his upcoming debut album.

Set for release in February 2011, Primary 1 produced the majority of the album himself with some help from Paul Epworth (Plan B, Florence) and mixed by the legendary Phillipe Zdar (Phoenix , Cassius). The album is a considered exercise in intelligent pop writing and is going to surprise a lot of people with its warmth and unique sound.

Over the past few months, Joe has kept himself busy by writing with two of pop’s most exciting starlets, Clare Maguire and Cocknbullkid. He will be performing with Clare Maguire at The New to Q show on January 25. He’s also set up a residency at an East London venue.
