Hailed as being one of THE tracks of the album by the likes of Q and the Observer, ‘Baby Loves Me’ is a rowdy rock tune which fully illustrates the upbeat feel of ‘Tomorrow Morning’. The single is from the incredible and critically acclaimed album “Tomorrow Morning”, which was released in August. The single is being released on Eels’ E Works Record Label.
The video for ‘Baby Loves Me’, which premiered earlier this month, sees E turn parts of London into toy town, perhaps as revenge for being questioned by police on suspicion of being a terrorist in London earlier this summer
On making the video E said, “I'm not sure. All I know is sometimes I'm big, sometimes I'm small, and sometimes I'm really, really tiny. Kind of like how I feel from day to day. And I see a lot of the world in this video, much like I do on our world tour right now. It's my way of saying “thanks for making me feel bad by accusing me of being a terrorist in Hyde Park this June. I'll show you. I'll make your city look like a toy.”
‘Tomorrow Morning’ has been hailed as one of the most cheerful Eel’s frontman Mark Oliver Everett has recorded, and completes a trilogy of albums with Hombre Lobo and End Times. Eels have just finished a 50 date world tour which received rave reviews, The Guardian said, “From a strictly musical point of view, he and his band were a joy” Four Stars. The Times also said, “This was a reinvigorated Eels, fronted by a man poking fun at his own down beat image, with a great band clearly in on the joke” Four Stars.
‘Baby Loves Me’ is released 22nd November
