Kasabian Guitarist Scores New Brit Flick

Not content with his role as the mastermind of the most successful British guitar band of this millennium, Kasabian’s chief songwriter, producer and guitarist Sergio Pizzorno has flexed his movie muscle and penned the score for brand new crime thriller ‘London Boulevard’ as well as a number of stand alone songs.

Directed by Oscar winning screenwriter (‘The Departed’) William Monahan, ‘London Boulevard’ stars a host of home grown talent, including Colin Farrell, Keria Knightley, David Thewlis, Anna Friel, Ben Chaplin and Ray Winstone with Jamie Campbell Bower, Stephen Graham and Eddie Marsan.

As well as writing the entire score, the irrepressible Sergio has also provided vocals for some of the tracks featured on the soundtrack.

In their ten year career Kasabian have released three albums, including last year’s Mercury Music Prize nominated ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’, which was widely recognised as one of the best albums of 2009. Kasabian were also named as the Best British Group at the 2010 BRIT Awards.

Kasabian are currently working on their fourth album, which will be released next year and will no doubt be one of the highlights of 2011.

‘London Boulevard’ is an adaptation of Ken Bruen’s modern noir novel of the same name, produced by Graham King, Tim Headington, Quentin Curtis and William Monahan. A GK Films/Henceforth production, released in the UK on November 26th through Entertainment Film Distributors Ltd.
