It was the first of The X Factor live shows on Saturday and there was a surprise “twist” were each judge got to bring back one act from the judges’ houses round and bring them forward to the live rounds. Not really such a surprise when it’s what we were all expecting. The only real surprise was that Cheryl chose Treyc over Gamu. I genuinely thought with all the uproar surrounding her group Cheryl would cave under the pressure but no, the Geordie lass did us proud and brought back an incredible talent. Shame she couldn’t boot out Cher Lloyd to make space for her.
Yes, it’s true, I hate Cher and the stupid faces she pulls and the way she thinks she’s an incredible rapper. Let’s be honest now, girls trying to be popstars shouldn’t really rap… should they Alisha Dixon? I do love Katie though and her fame hungry ways, I think she’ll be brilliant to watch and despite hating that hat Matt insists on wearing, I do think he’s got talent. However, I definitely want Aiden to win. His version of Mad World was haunting and incredible!
Anyway, poor Nicolo was first off last night. I couldn’t believe it. I thought his Lady Gaga was ace! He definitely deserved to stay. It’s not fair acts like Wagner and Diva Fever get to continue. Nicolo and FYD will totally be missed as the week goes on as they were a little bit different to the rest of them. Ah well, I’m sure that’s not the last we’ve heard of Nicolo Festa.
If The X Factor isn’t your thing, we have plenty of unrelated stuff on the site this week… We have interviews with Andy C, Love Amongst Ruin and Chiddy Bang. We have new videos from Anna Calvi, South Central, Middle Class Rut and Is Tropical. We also have competitions to win The Ultimate House Party, tickets to see Dub Pistols, tickets to the Island Life Tour and a DJ set in Ibiza. As if all that wasn’t enough Feed The Rhino, The James Cleaver Quintet, Doll And The Kicks and The Strange Death Of Liberal England are all on the road. GO!
