Surfer Blood Announce Tour With Interpol + New Video For 'Floating Vibes'

After their stunning UK festival appearances at Reading and Leeds, Surfer Blood are once again set to bring their youthful brand of sun-strafed anthemic pop to the stage when they support post-punk superstars Interpol on tour this autumn. Playing their biggest shows to date, with performances at Manchester’s Apollo and Brixton Academy, the likes of ‘Floating Vibes’ and recent single ‘Swim ’ were seemingly recorded to be appreciated in such surrounds and will be catapulted into epic territory.

Surfer Blood,’s maiden voyage to the UK in February and another brief encounter in May have built up a deservedly huge buzz around the band, heightened by the release of their critically lauded debut album ‘Astro Coast’ at the start of the summer. The album is universal in its appeal, seamlessly compressing some of the very best chapters of musical history – 60’s pop, early 90’s grunge, surf rock, even Afrobeat – into one breathless, instantly addictive whole.

With radio support from Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Fearne Cotton and Nick Grimshaw, and XFM daytime play-listing, it seems more apt than ever that Surfer Blood should be embarking on their most prominent tour to date.

Tickets available from all the usual outlets.

Tour dates as follows:

November
26 – Birmingham, O2 Academy
27 – Edinburgh, Corn Exchange
December
3 – Manchester, Apollo
4 – Liverpool, Uni
6 – London, Brixton
