Cherry Ghost Announces Autumn Tour

In support of the critically heralded new album ‘Beneath This Burning Shoreline’, Cherry Ghost are to embark on a headline tour this autumn which encompasses dates across the UK. As well as releasing a new single, ‘Black Fang’ on August 23rd, the band have appeared at key festivals this summer, as well as touring with Doves and The Coral. This string of shows in the fall however will be their largest to date.
The new album unveils a band who have further crafted a rich and distinctive sound, still founded on lyrical poeticism yet more refined and assured. This stirring and expansive new material slots seamlessly alongside their previous body of work, ‘Thirst For Romance’, and with such a strong catalogue of music the band should prove unmissable.

New single ‘Black Fang’ (out 30th August), taken from the critically lauded sophomore album ‘Beneath This Bruning Shoreline’ sees the band at their rollicking gothic best with a track that is sure to trouble the Ivor Novello judges once again. Imagine a baroque take on The Velvet Underground but with Aldred’s dusty crooned vocals in place of lou Reeds NYC drawl, uplifting strings, cascading piano and synthesizers are arranged with aplomb, to provide a surging euphoric edge, while lyrically the song is tantalizingly ambiguous (“Be my midnight swimmer, I will be your sea-salt lips/ be my cold blood killer, I will be your fingertips”). Who or what Black Fang is is unclear but what is indisputable, ‘Black Fang’ is romantic symphonic pop music at it’s very best.
