Hotly tipped unsigned, Bristol rock band, Turbowolf have been invited by Korn to open on their forthcoming European tour. The band will play nine dates including Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria & Switzerland. This is the latest development in a series of live successes that has seen Turbowolf perform at a string of festivals this summer including a brilliantly received set at Sonisphere. Directly after completion of the Korn dates, Turbowolf embark on a nationwide tour with Dinosaur Pile-Up throughout October.
Earlier this year, the band completed recording of their debut album. The first tracks will be release as an EP entitled ‘The Big Cut’ on 4th October via AWAL. Turbowolf remain unsigned to a either a traditional recording or publishing deal at this point. It’s a demonstration of just how far bands can go independently through their own determination.
2009 saw Turbowolf establish themselves as a must see live act with shows both sides of the Atlantic, including SXSW, Download, Offset and Dot To Dot. In Nov 2009 they put out the single ‘Let’s Die’ via AWAL, which revealed their explosive recorded sound. For the first 6 months of this year, the band has been locked in a small Bristol studio putting together their debut album.
Turbowolf have been supported by the rock media including spins on Daniel P. Carter’s Radio 1 Rock Show, a Maida Vale session for Rob Da Bank, XFM Rock Show spins, a Kerrang introducing feature & spins on Kerrang Radio, inclusion in Classic Rock’s ACDC tribute as well as being featured on both Metal Hammer's 'Best New British Bands' compilation & also their Black Sabbath Tribute album.
The ‘Big Cut EP’ is released digitally via AWAL on 4th October or via CD at gigs.
Turbowolf plan to release their debut album in spring next year – label unknown.
