Polly And The Billets Doux (link) are the perfect blend of jazz, blues, folk and soul.
It’s been a really busy year so far for Polly and co; they’ve been all over the country touring off the back of their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Fiction, Half-Truths & Downright Lies’ released through their own label Bleak Mouse Records, and don’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing down!
Their first release was the ‘Head of Steam’ EP, which charted at number 17 on the Radio 1 Indie Chart in 2009, and this was quickly followed by their full length debut. Since then they’ve been championed by Bob Harris and Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2 as well as doing live sessions with Cerys Matthews on BBC 6Music and ‘Loose Ends’ on BBC Radio 4.
They now follow a summer of appearances all over the UK festival circuit (including Glastonbury, Loopallu and The Big Chill) and a slot supporting Fun Loving Criminals with a UK tour this autumn including shows with Alan Pownall and the Willkommen Collective’s The Miserable Rich.
