John Lennons widow Yoko Ono has announced a series of events to celebrate what would have been her husbands 70th birthday.
The celebrations will conclude with a performance by the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band on October 9 in Iceland.
Ono is also due to present the Lennon Ono Grant for Peace award to four figures chosen for their contribution to world peace.
Recipients include the author of a book about the interaction of nature and society, a food safety campaigner and an environmental documentary maker.
Lennon would have turned 70 on October 9. He was shot dead in New York in December 1980.
In July, a time capsule project was announced to ensure the former Beatle's legacy was maintained.
