[dweeb] Release It's OK

Following the release of their new single 'It's OK' [dweeb] are bringing their insatiable energy to the Monto Water Rats in celebration. Their live shows are renowned for being a high-octane and colourful experience that never fails to win over new plaudits and praise. The band will be playing a full set of tracks including those from their new album 'Feels Like Dynamite'.

Tim Alford, Matt Donald, Dave Ashworth and The Badgerman make up brash Coventry four-piece, and their new single 'It's OK' is a fiery yet poppy slice of the infectious indie-punk that they do so well. Alford and The B-Man's skyscraping guitars craft an instantly memorable melody while Donald's propulsive bass and Ashworth's pounding drums keep it loud. Building around a massive refrain that is sure to inspire singalong crowds, Alford's lyrical mantra 'No-one wants to be alone' will strike a chord for listeners everywhere.

The swooning vocals and insistent guitar of 'It's OK' is just one of the many favourites guaranteed to get crowds moving, as their live audiences can testify. Since the release of their first album 'It Came From Outer Space!' in 2007, [dweeb] have been busy cutting their teeth on the live circuit. Having supported the likes of Enter Shikari, they have also been on headline tours and festivals not just in the UK but all around the continent – the band once memorably played 18 gigs in 15 days while on tour in Europe! As a result their live show has progressed to a genuinely exciting and inspiring performance by a band who are truly confident in their roles.

That confidence is reflected in their new songs. With their second album 'Feels Like Dynamite', [dweeb] have stepped up to the plate to deliver a raucous dayglo rock album with enough poppy innovation to announce themselves to the mainstream. Whether it's the storming opener 'Dynamite', the rabble-rousing 'Silence Is Golden', the defiant 'We Are The Ones' or 'It's OK', [dweeb] possess an innate knack for combining crunching rock with a tunefulness and accessibility that will not leave your brain. It is the sound of four friends all pulling in the same direction, their electric chemistry and brotherly bond forged over the years since forming at college. [dweeb]'s passion can't be bought or faked, and it's what makes their music so exciting.
