Kate Nash has just released the video for her second single from her sophmore album My Best Friend Is You.
The single is an homage to the sixties girlband era and is entitled 'Kiss That Grrrl'. In the video, Nash is a showgirl torn between two back-up performers in a love triangle. The entire aesthetic of the video is retro and Sixties-inspired. It also includes a cameo from Nash's boyfriend, Ryan Jarman of The Cribs.
When the video dropped a few weeks ago, it seemed fairly lackluster considering Kate's biggest single, her debut 'Foundations' was a huge success and won director Kinga Burza an award.
But a newly released docu-clip about the behind the scenes of the new video unveils the story and meaning behind it and gives the video much more of an edge. Watch above to learn about the unique thinking behind the video concept.
The single is out to buy on Monday week, July 12th!
