Kinks' bassist, Pete Quaife, dies aged 66

Reports have confirmed the death of former Kinks bassist Pete Quaife, who passed away yesterday (June 24th)

Quaife was a co-founder of the Kinks, and perfomed on some of their best known tracks (including 'you really got me') and took to the stage for his last performance with the band in 1981

At present, no cause of death has been reported, but the musician had been undergoing kidney dialysis for over a decade.
