Following the release of her new album 100 Miles From Memphis on July 19th, Sheryl Crow has announced she will play three dates in the UK in October. The shows will see Sheryl debut a new live band and unveil her soul stylings.
The 9 time Grammy Award-winning singer songwriter grew up in Kennett, Missouri, 100 miles from Memphis, listening to the irresistible soul sounds on the radio coming out of Memphis in the late 60s; Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, the heavy influence of the South; Delaney and Bonnie, Stax Records, and the classic spirit of Al Green, Sly and the Family Stone and Stevie Wonder.
All of these shaped the artist Sheryl Crow is today. 100 Miles from Memphis is Sheryl Crow’s seventh studio album and includes high-profile guest stars including Keith Richards and Justin Timberlake, and production by Doyle Bramhall II and Justin Stanley.
